The entire place needs a good cleaning, available selection in the morning was slim and the staff is challenged to get even the simplest order correct

Just had my first one - someone at work brought in a bag. Went back for a second. It's a good bagel. It's what a bagel should be. In an ideal world, it would be an average bagel. In a world overrun by chains making pseudo bagels, it's excellent and gets five stars.

Many places sell bagels that are basically kaiser rolls with a hole. These guys have very nicely textured bagels with the right density (think Brooklyn). Went in this morning on our way to do some Saturday errands. Service was fast and pleasant they make you feel welcome. Had an egg salad sandwich, my wife had ham and swiss. Both were very large and packed and each of us pronounced our meal tasty. Price was right, food was very good, service excellent and quick. Definitely a keeper. Will be back soon and often.

Brooklyn Bagels is an open and spacious shop just off County Line Road at the intersection with 2nd Street Pike at the border between Southampton and Huntingdon Valley. It offers a wide variety of traditional and more modern twists on the bagel genre. The bagels are large. They have the right mildly crunchy exterior, but an interior that is a little too dense for me. That just means that it is kneaded too long before boiling, removing the air pockets that create a lighter product. Sometimes the only way to know if the density is wrong is to wait to see what happens in its digestion. When I get indigestion and a lingering aftertaste, I know it was not quite right. Still, they use extra large baked onion chips on their bagels, and apply them evenly on both sides. All good. I am sure that these rounders hold up very well clamping down on a heavy sandwich, and they certainly have their fans. But for me, a lighter chew is preferable. In my bagel quest throughout Bucks County, Bagel Train in Yardley comes closest to my desired Golden Fleece.

My daughter was attending a middle-school fund raiser at a nearby Applebee's, so my son and I had to find a way to burn an hour of time. I punched "bagels" into Yelp, and Brooklyn Bagels caught my eye. I grew up in Brooklyn, so the phrase "Brooklyn Bagels" has a very specific, almost sacred meaning to me. Sure, I appreciate the appeal for any bagel restaurant to apply "Brooklyn" to their name - it's not legally-defined, and it improves business. This place is the real deal. I don't know exactly what makes bagels from Brooklyn so special, but out of all the bagel restaurants I've been to in Southampton / Willow Grove / Warminster / Hatboro / Horsham / Huntingdon Valley area, only this place nailed it. The texture and flavor are perfect. The New York-style menu spans much of the room. The owner (I presume he was the owner) is friendly, and the sandwiches are excellent. The ambiance isn't great, and seating is limited - but from what I recall of similar places in Brooklyn, that too is authentic. I strongly recommend Brooklyn Bagels, and as you drive there, make a point of sticking your hand out the car window and flipping off any "Manhattan Bagel" franchises you pass on the way.

Greats bagels and greats service. It's a little out of my way, but so much better than the options (Panera, Manhattan) in my area.

Everything bagel. PRO: Great texture, crunch outside, soft inside Puffy, airy, light (for a bagel) Good appearance and golden color CON The Everything mix was slightly off, not enough salt or garlic to balance out the onion. Slightly sweet which I think is the Brooklyn style? Extra sugar? Some would call this a pro. In summary this bagel was delicious. A noble attempt and deserves to be called "real" bagel.

These bagels are good, certainly better than super market or Manhattan varieties, but nothing to wax poetic about unfortunately. I picked up a dozen with plenty variety to serve at brunch with some real hardcore bagel-eating types. These bagels definitely got the job done, but it was a bit of a hassle. The store seems to be going through some growing pains and is defiantly in the process of learning the ropes. Great for a lazy pick up, not so spectacular if you're trying to feed masses of friends and are on a schedule! Fingers crossed for improvements!

Look no further for a fabulous bagel! I am a veteran bagel consumer, and the fresh HANDMADE bagels here are the most delicious, chewy bagels of all time! A gorgeous crust yields to the platonic ideal of a bagel interior. Dense but not overly so and exactly the right amount of chewiness. Served them to ten hungry bagel enthusiasts yesterday and the A+ rating was unanimous. No reason to buy those awful, previously frozen bagels from Manhattan Bagels or 2nd Street Bagels. These compare favorably with the best of New York and are FAR superior to those made in Elkins Park. And the bialies are "to die for."

I was in the neighborhood heading over to 95 and stopped in to visit Brooklyn Bagels again. Same order as last time, and this time they did actually toast it. Lox cream cheese still felt as it was lacking in lox, but the cream cheese was fresh, well whipped. The toasting definitely helped. Bagel had more chew and a nice crust. I am slowly coming around to the fact that this is probably as good as a bagel gets in the Northern Suburbs. Right now, I feel for the owners as there is construction going on and it is very hard to get into their shopping center. But it is a bagel well worth travelling for.

Just drove 8.5 miles to check this place out. We just got bagels and cream cheese this time. Best bagels I've ever had. Can wait to go back and try the sandwiches. The bagels have the perfect crunch on the outside and chewy inside. I will be telling everyone about this place. I wish it was near my house!

Ordered a few bagels from this place and I was told its going to be about 15 mins. Hour later I call to find out where my order is and the guy told me the boss thinks its too far for them and I was supposed to receive a call from them. Customer Service does not get WORSE than this. Edit: Got a call back from this place explaining why this whole situation happened. Willing to give them another try

Stay as far away from this place as you can! While the food itself was average. The problem lies within their customer service. After hearing good things about this place, we felt it was worth a shot. How wrong we were. Once we arrived (not very crowded) we ordered 4 bagels with cream cheese. Nothing special. 20 mins later we still have not gotten our order. Finally after complaining several times we finally got the order and it was WRONG. At that point we left and will never go back again. What makes the nightmare truly complete was the owner chased us into the parking lot and tried to explain why the order got messed up. At that point we did not want to hear why the order got messed up we just wanted to leave. Then 2 customers leaving the restaurant berated us for complaining about our experience. The owner then called me an expletive and we left. Needless to say there will not be a return trip. But hey if you like being berated and treated poorly, then by all means head to this place. However if you want a better customer experience then stay away.

If you miss New York come to the Brooklyn Bagel. The owner has a really heavy NY accent and persona. Cashier was chatting with a customer before me. The owner comes up to me and ask if I was being helped. I said no, he then immediately confronts the cashier to takes my order. He apologized so did the cashier. Feeling the New Yorker love in here. I ordered #23 and a cinnamon raisin bagel with lox spread. Eating the#23 now and it's pretty good. Just enough to not busy your gut. The bagels are made in house and hand rolled. I haven't tried it yet but it looks amazing. And everything is made to order but I didn't wait long, 3 minutes? Wasn't busy when I came in. Seems like the owner is showing his son the store for the first time. He tells the crew he's going to the bank to roll more bagels. Nice first impression. Well done Brooklyn Bagel.

I read the reviews prior to visiting and I must say this was the by far the best bagel place I have been too here in PA. The staff was very friendly, the owner Steve came over and introduced himself. I found him friendly and personable. Now onto the Bagels- the ET bagel was perfect, the blend of seasoning along with the perfect ratio of salt was delightful. The crunch along with the texture was definitely delish. My only complaint if you'd call it that, is that there were no Bialy's. Steve assured me they would be available on the weekend. I can't wait to try them. This is my favorite place in an otherwise dismal area for this foodie. Steve if you read this I was very impressed with the Whitefish salad as well.

Brooklyn Bagels is the BEST bagel shop around! These are the best bagels I have had, and their homemade flavored cream cheese is awesome - especially the veggie! I took these bagels to work, and everyone asked where they came from. We stop in every weekend for breakfast or lunch, and have yet to be disappointed. Everyone there is friendly and helpful, great place... so glad they opened up close to where I live!

Bagels were fresh and delish. Owner was friendly. Will definately come back when we are in town.

I had to try Brooklyn bagels being from Brooklyn where bagels and bread are the best. Thanksgiving morning traveled 141/2 miles and bought one dozen. It is hard to copy to perfection due to the water which makes all the difference in the world. I must say these bagels where very close in taste and size. I enjoyed them as so did my two sons. It's a little bit of a ride but well worth it. Friendly staff also. 81/2 out of 10

Born and raised in NE philly, and I have to be bold and say, these are THE BEST bagels I have had in a long time. Especially in the NE. Fresh dough made every day, hand rolled, boiled and baked TO PERFECTION!! forget the other places who bring in frozen circles from some place and bake them and call it a bagel!! Also as a side. they have some of the ABSOLUTE BEST White Fish Salad!!! I will be here again and again and OFTEN!!! ENJOY!!
